6 WEEKS - 6 MONTHS

In the Huckleberry room, we focus on meeting the needs of each individual infant. Each infant is on their own schedule. In addition to routine activities such as eating, diapering and napping, we sing songs and read stories to the babies as we play on the floor. At this age we encourage fine motor skills such as grasping hanging objects. We have large open spaces for them to start rolling and maybe even start sitting up with support.
6 MONTHS - 1 YEAR

In the Blueberry room, we still focus on the infant's individual schedule. They will begin to start sitting on their own and crawling. We provide toys and activities to help them with these skills. They also begin to eat table foods and start to learn how to use a sippy cup. We continue working on fine motor skills such as picking up food or toys. They may also begin to walk by the time they are done.
1 - 1 1/2 YEARS

In the Banana room, we begin working on getting the children on the center's schedule, however the child's needs are most important. They start to eat at a table and are working on utensils. They are developing words and using hand signs to help when they don't have the words. They begin to try to nap as a group at one time, although times for napping are allowed as children are transitioning from the infant room.
1 1/2 - 2 YEARS

In the Green Grape room, the children have transitioned to our schedule and we are helping them to continue forming words and communicating with their friends and teachers. They work on table manners, and start using an open cup. Play is so important and they are learning so much by interacting with the other children in the room.
2 - 2 1/2 YEARS

In the Kiwi room, the children are working on table manners and beginning shapes and colors. They learn the best while playing and that is the focus. Art and large motor activities are done every day. As the children are ready we assist in training them to use a potty and also hand washing.
2 1/2 - 3 1/2 YEARS

In the Orange room, the children are still learning the most from play. They are starting to work on some self-help and self-reliance skills. They start some pre-writing skills and also will continue with learning good table manners and learning to serve themselves at the table.
3 1/2 - 4 1/2 YEARS

The Plum room focuses on preparing the children for the 4k experience. They work on preschool readiness, counting, letters, pre-literacy, art skills, and fine motor . Play has a huge role in helping them with the social interactions that are so important at this age.
SCHOOL AGE ROOM
4 1/2 YEARS - 12 YEARS

The Apple room's main focus is to reinforce skills that the children are working on in school. They work on letters, numbers and counting, social skills as well as homework for chidren who come before and after the school day.
INDOOR GYM

The gym is available to all classrooms year round. This space provides an excellent opportunity for the kids to get some physical exercise even if Mother Nature doesn't want to cooperate. The gym time is scheduled each day to ensure age appropriate groups using the gym at the same time.
